The Barnyard Painters, a group of artists whose work conveys the agricultural traditions and landscapes of our region, will pay tribute to farming life in an exhibition this fall.
Monadnock Farming: Our Heritage, which runs from October 14 to November 12, 2016, will be held at the Cunningham Gallery at the Jaffrey Civic Center in Jaffrey, NH.
“The magnificent landscapes we witness each day are often only there because agriculture keeps them there through the animal and human occupants of the farms,” shares exhibition organizer and participant, Mary Iselin. “The Barnyard Painters are passionate about farming; past, present, and future. This is our tribute to a way of life.”
View work by Dave Bulger, Francelia Clark, Mary Iselin, Deb Pero, Chris Reid, Ann Sawyer, and Jeanne Maguire-Thieme. Members work in various mediums including oil, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media.
“As Monadnock area artists, each of us has a voice and works from our own vision, but we all want to honor the heritage of our agricultural tradition,” says Iselin.
