I’ve always had a passion for clean, real foods. It struck me that there was a real demand for plant-based offerings such as nut milks and nut cheeses that were both delicious and healthy. I wanted to be a part of that small, but growing, market. Working in New York during the week and spending weekends in New Hampshire allowed for long drives where I generated most of my ideas, including a business name. Nuttin Ordinary was created with many goals in mind: To start and grow a unique New Hampshire company; to create jobs in the state; and to make clean, simple, healthy foods available to everyone.
Nuttin Ordinary made its first sale in the summer of 2013, and is now the first plant-based cheese company in New England. We culture our own cashew cheese with a proprietary probiotic blend, giving it a distinct and natural cheese flavor. We sell original, spicy, and Italian herb flavors which are all gluten and dairy free. We recently teamed up with our friends at Vermont Fresh Pasta to introduce a 100% plant-based frozen ravioli that is filled with our rich and creamy cashew cheese. At Nuttin Ordinary, we keep it clean, simple, and great tasting!
